  • Report Details: This report is based on analysis of financial balance sheet and income statement data for the period of 2000-2014, quantitative survey research results, and interactions with pharmaceutical clients in supply chain strategy engagements.
  • Objective: To use financial balance sheet and income statement data coupled with recent research to better understand the state of pharmaceutical supply chains.
  • Hypothesis: The pharmaceutical industry has struggled as a result of the Great Recession, complexities inherited as a result of M&A activity, and confronts looming Patent Cliffs requiring it to adapt and adopt new techniques to prioritize supply chain excellence and regain stability.
