Imagine the Supply Chain of the Future

RESEARCH OVERVIEW:

  • Survey Details: The research for this report was conducted from July 28 – August 24, 2014. It is based on online surveys conducted among registrants for the Supply Chain Insights Global Summit 2014. Respondents were a mix of “users” (manufacturers, retailers and distributors) and “vendors” (technology providers, consultants, analysts, etc.)(n=54 in total). This data was supplemented by cross-survey and financial analysis based on select Supply Chain Insights surveys from 2012-2014.
  • Objective: To understand the current state of supply chain thinking as related to centers of excellence, S&OP trends and use of technologies.
  • Highlight: There is great excitement about new trends, but most planned investments are in the more traditional software areas of inventory management, forecasting and Sales and Operations Planning.
