Surveys were conducted among manufacturers who purchase direct materials and are familiar with the process of selecting and managing direct materials suppliers at their company (n=34).
  • Objective: To determine the satisfaction and current performance levels of existing technologies for direct materials.
  • Highlight: Respondents rate their direct materials technology as effective in evaluating price, lead times, and delivery reliability, but less effective in determining financial viability and innovation.
