Supply Chain Talent – A Broken Link in the Supply Chain

RESEARCH OVERVIEW:

  • Survey Details: The research for this report was conducted from June 9 – August 13, 2014. It is based on online surveys conducted among Manufacturers, Retailers, Distributors and Third-Party Logistics Providers in supply chain management (n=35).
  • Objective: To understand the current state of supply chain talent related to hiring, recruiting and training and the success of current solutions.
  • Highlight: Only 14% of companies rate themselves as doing better than peers on managing supply chain talent while 43% rate themselves as doing worse.  The primary drivers for this gap are issues around management support, recruitment and staff development.
