Building Effective Business Networks in Process Industries

  • Survey Details: The research for this report was conducted from May 14 – September 12, 2014. It is based on online surveys conducted among Manufacturers, Wholesalers/Distributors/Co-operatives and Third-Party Logistics Providers who work in process industries and in a supply chain, information technology/e-business, business leadership or sales role (n=113)
  • Objective: To understand where companies in process industries (such as Chemical, Food and Beverage and  Consumer Packaged Goods) are on the path towards building collaborative relationships in the extended supply chain.
  • Highlight: When the number of ERP instances is reduced, there is a significant improvement in global inventory visibility and when B2B networks are deployed there is a significant improvement in both global inventory and logistics visibility.
